South Brent, for many people is an unknown village, located only 5 miles from Ivybridge. Originally a wool and market centre, with two annual fairs and a mainline train station, South Brent is located within the Dartmoor National Park, and just off the A38, making it perfect for those wanting to live in a real community, yet have the excellent transport links that the A38 provides.
When people do decide to venture off the main road and into the square they will find what can only be described as a thriving village, with a mix of flourishing day to day shops and businesses, and located as it is within the Dartmoor National Park, the views are quite special, and ever changing as the seasons progress.

In addition is a very successful hardware shop, which has everything you could possibly need for the home and garden. The village also has two pubs, both serving excellent food, and having Bed and Breakfast accommodation. South Brent can also boast a NHS Dentist and very popular Health Centre, which caters for a population of 5000 to include the surrounding villages.
South Brent Primary School is also very popular, as are the two pre-schools available. Secondary education from South Brent is either to KEVICCS in Totnes or Ivybridge Community College, which has an outstanding OFSTED report, and there is transport available to both schools.
South Brent has a wealth of property, from new to old, and from small flats to large houses, it can accommodate all types of buyers, and is extremely popular with people wanting to commute to perhaps, Plymouth, Exeter or Torbay for work.
