Luscombe Maye Support for Woodland Trust

Devon Woodland TrustDevon Woodland TrustThis January, as in previous years, the six offices of Luscombe Maye have collected your Christmas Cards in support of The Woodland Trust. It has been easy for the people of the South Hams to help with collection points in each of our offices. By recycling festive cards we all help The Woodland Trust to continue vital work in creating new woodland, as well as preserving the habitat of thousands of UK species.

Antony Stumbles, partner based in the Kingsbridge office commented ‘We were pleased to offer members of the public the facility to recycle their Christmas Cards and contribute to such a worthwhile cause. Our six offices across the South Hams have all received a great response.’

Devon Woodland TrustThe Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity championing native woods and trees. It has more than 300,000 members and supporters. The Trust has three key aims: to enable the creation of more native woods and places rich in trees, to protect native woods, trees and their wildlife for the future and to inspire everyone to enjoy and value woods and trees. Established in 1972, the Woodland Trust now has over 1,000 sites in its care covering approximately 20,000 hectares (50,000 acres).

Since the Woodland Trust started its Christmas Card Recycling Scheme, a total of 659m cards have been recycled nationwide – 59m last year alone, which funded the planting of 14,000 trees.
